Evolution, Information, & The Paley Fallacy

v3.0.0 / TOC (4 chapters) / 01 aug 17 / greg goebel

* From the publication of Charles Darwin's THE ORIGIN OF SPECIES in 1859, which established the basis of modern evolutionary theory, creationists have worked to oppose and undermine the science -- proclaiming that the species were instead obviously work of an Unseen Agent that designed and built them. One of the creationist tactics to discredit evolution has been to invoke the laws of thermodynamics, claiming evolution is in violation of them; following from that effort, more recently creationists have invoked information theory in their attempts to deny evolution. This document provides a history and discussion of the creationist argument, focusing on the thermodynamic and information theory ploys.
